Mrs. Amal Hasan, Executive Director of Sela, participated in the opening of the 10th Arab Nations Regional Volunteer Conference, titled “Promoting Volunteerism in MENA” on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Adnan Al-Qassar Building - Bir Hasan, under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri, represented by his advisor, former MP Ammar Houry. Lebanon Center For Volunteer Work organized the conference and gathered many officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants (Gebran Bassil) represented by Counselor Khalil Karim, the President of the Democratic Gathering represented by MP Taymour Jumblatt Nasser Zaidan, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, (Sheikh Abd al-Latif Derian) represented by Sheikh Muhammad Anas Saad, the Director-General of the Internal Security Forces (Major General Imad Othman) represented by Colonel Hussein Abdullah, Ambassador Abdel-Rahman Al-Solh, the Secretary-General of the Future Movement represented by Ahmed Hariri Jalal Kabrit. The conference also welcomed several ambassadors, consuls, representatives from the Palestinian factions, and international, local organizations in the Union of Arab Chambers.
