Graduation Ceremony for the Trainees of Khoyout workshops 2021
She has the right to learn, be empowered, and have a decent and safe life.
On International Human Rights Day, December 10, Sela held a graduation ceremony for fashion, sewing, and embroidery students for 2021; under Saida's mayor's patronage, Eng. Muhammad Al-Saudi, represented by Engineer Muhammad Al-Baba, a member of the Municipal Council, a delegation from the Adara Foundation - Indonesia, and some managers and members from respected associations.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem, then a speech by Sela's executive manager, Mrs. Amal Hassan, in which she addressed the right of women to education, a decent life, and to have a profession that supports her and her family, and Sela's role in empowering women. She thanked the Adara Foundation for funding two Thread Rolls courses, providing modern sewing machines to the trainees of the Sewing training, and gifts for the students of the Embroidery course to open their own business from home. She also thanked the mayor of Saida for their sponsorship of the ceremony.
Adara also presented a speech at the ceremony, represented by Vice-President Mrs. Banna Sri. She focused on the importance of empowering and training women and expressed her satisfaction with this graduation. She thanked Sela for its efforts and encouraged supporting women with such training.
The ceremony closed with a speech by the operation manager, Mrs. Asmaa Al-Shalabi. She sent a message to her students about the importance of investing in the skills, theoretical knowledge, and practical experiences they acquired during the training period.
In turn, Mrs. Asmaa thanked the Sela for making these courses a success and the Adara Foundation for its generous funding.
The sewing and the embroidery trainees also gave a speech to thank the operations manager, Sela, the Adara Foundation, and their trainers, who taught them fashion, detailing sewing, and embroidery basics.
The ceremony included performances like fashion shows produced by the trainees.
The ceremony closed with honoring the Adara Foundation, the graduates, and an exhibition for the produced products.
