Appreciation Ceremony for the Volunteers

05 Dec 2021

Volunteering is a precious treasure that Sela has valued and protected since its establishment.

On International Volunteer Day, December 5, Sela honored its volunteers from five different Lebanese governorates with an honoring ceremony held in Saida, including about 105 male and female volunteers.

The ceremony began by welcoming the volunteers, then a speech by "Sela" presented by Mrs. Amal Hassan, Sela's director. She addressed the importance of volunteer work and how Volunteering is connected to Sela's objectives. Sela seeks to promote new concepts in Volunteering and support and manage volunteers professionally, solidarity and create projects, initiatives, and activities that serve the community and achieve development. Finally, she praised the efforts of volunteers over the past six years and their tremendous and distinguished role in providing support in its most refined form.

The volunteer team leader, Ms. Reem Mustapha, gave a speech at the ceremony. She marked the team's love for volunteer work, rights and duties, and role in Sela; its impact on the psyche and personality, and thanked Sela for their efforts. Finally, she announced the brand new visual identity of the volunteer team, "Rufaqaa."

The volunteers carried an initiative, showing their love and humanity by reviving a family's life that has lost their business spirit. They fixed and equipped the store in cooperation with Sela.

Sela presented two videos showing the two projects in Saida and Bekaa implemented by the volunteers.

The ceremony closed with certificates of appreciation and financial rewards to the male and female volunteers.
