Networking with Benefactors- 2019
Sela organized it is 4th annual Iftar entitled "Bridging" in 2019 at Zawat Restaurant in Saida with the presence of Mr. Muhammad Hariri, representative of the parliamentarian Bahia Hariri, principals and members of different schools; charitable, humanitarian and social organizations; religious centers; civil society associations; and close organizations. They all gathered on that day to show their love and support towards vulnerable people.
First, Khalil Hariri recited verses from the Quran holy book. Then, Mrs. Amal Hasan introduced Sela's goals, programs and achievements to the audience for the past three years and a half. Highlighting that the Microcredits Project is one of Sela's top achievements, which aims to help vulnerable women get back on their feet and live in dignity by opening a business to support their families.
In addition to the Microcredits Project, Sela is proud of launching Khoyout Factory. This project aims to empower mothers parenting future generation by offering them job opportunities at Khoyout Factory, hosting training under Raghad Development Program and Ola Training Program, organizing seasonal relief projects, various activities, workshops and awareness sessions. She added that Ramadan's holy month is an opportunity to do good deeds and feel rewarded by God. Sela opens its door for charitable acts and donations for vulnerable children, women and families through its Ramadan series of projects under the Bridging Campaign.
Next, Sela presented a film about Microcredits Project explaining how they granted 41 beneficiaries (women) their dreams in Saida and its vicinity.
After that, Roses Group of Sela performed a play about a tailor who spent her whole life in front of the sewing machine until it becomes a part of herself and starts hating it times and loving it at other times. One day she realizes that her profession is love for humankind and humanity and all of her tiredness and efforts vanish when vulnerable people (including women and children) smile back at her.
Sela presented its promo for Ramadan's seasonal relief projects (Gathered Around the Table, Ramadan Is A Blessing and Eid Clothing).
Once again, Roses Group danced on stage to the melodies of love and humanity and distributed embroidered gifts made by Khoyout Factory.
Khoyout Factory participated in the event by making the costumes for the performances and displaying their products in a booth.
