Sela & its Volunteers Fight Illiteracy
The Society advances into a more civilized one through its people's generosity, such as saving children from illiteracy and nurturing their brains through reading and writing. This contribution is the best kind of generosity!
Sela has implemented its Literacy Project for a 2nd year in a raw, with volunteering efforts in Beqaa, targeting 22 children from the beginning of September until November.
Coaches started teaching intensive courses to help participants' master Arabic letters then get prepared to read and write the basics of the language to continue learning and studying on their own in the future. In the end, we celebrated their improvement and distributed certificates, gifts, and sweets.
This project is part of Ola Training Program and Save Me a Spark Campaign launched at the beginning of august in 2019. It also aims to raise the public's awareness about the importance of education and the negative consequences of dropping out of school on children, their families and Society. Sela aims to educate children, women and enroll several working, dropout children into schools.
