صلة تفتتح 22 مشروعاً بتمويل كريم من الهيئة الخيرية الإسلامية العالمية

08 Jun 2024

As poverty, families with female breadwinners, and unemployment rates increase, prices rise amidst harsh living conditions. Therefore, Sela has made economic and social empowerment a top priority for 2024, aiming to achieve SDGs through small projects. These small projects are seen as the ideal solution to alleviate unemployment and its adverse effects on society's most vulnerable and poorest groups. They have the potential to transform these individuals into positive and productive members of society, working toward a stable and decent living.

The International Islamic Charity Organization – Kuwait, a key player in empowering people educationally, culturally, and economically, has been instrumental in Sela's mission. Their generous funding of 22 of Sela's small projects has been a cornerstone in our journey towards our goals. These projects have benefited 22 families with low or no income, including widows, divorced women, and young people, providing them with the financial resources and support they need to improve their lives and contribute positively to their small businesses.

These projects include a women's salon, sanitary ware, sewing, embroidery, making hammocks, a 'foul' restaurant, an apiary, a kitchen, a poultry farm, a car wash, and various stores (household supplies, cotton clothing, gifts and perfumes, gas cylinders, and tuk-tuk...).
