Teachers are the central pillar of education and are responsible for spreading knowledge and nourishing children and youth's minds.

Considering the critical role of teaching and how it shapes society, Sela invited its volunteers to attend a workshop called "How to Be an Effective Teacher" presented by Ms. Hala Hamade on 22-29/12/2019.

The workshop included the following topics:

• Define the teacher's role
• Develop positive classroom management
• Create a positive learning environment
• Consider individual learning preferences

In the end, Sela distributed certificates to the participants while Ms. Hala Hamade received a certificate of appreciation for her efforts.

The workshop falls under Sela's 2020 plan as a prerequisite to help Sela's volunteers start teaching dropout students writing and reading as part of its Literacy Project.
