The Graduation Ceremony of Khoyout Factory's Trainees

Sela, in cooperation with Khoyout Factory, held a graduation ceremony for the trainees of "Sewing and Fashion Designing Course" and "Thread Rolls Course" (embroidery training) under the patronage of Saida's Mayor, Eng. Muhammad Al-Saudi, at the Municipality of Saida on Saturday, 24/11/2018.

Sela started the ceremony with the presence of Prof. Mohammad Kobrosli, Municipal Representative of Saida, a delegation from the International Islamic Charity Organization- Kuwait (Palestine Charity Committee), the Minister of State for Women, Jean Ogasabian, represented by Ms. Randa Yassir, Mr. Abdelkader Al-Bassat, representing Prof. Osama Saad, Mr. Majid Hamtou, General Coordinator of Community Institutions Gathering in Saida. Schools' principals and members, charity and social organizations, and religious centers also attended the ceremony.

First, Sela screened a film about its achievements and another one about the trainees. Then Mrs. Amal Hasan, the Director of Sela, explained Sela's role in empowering women and child welfare. Mrs. Amal mentioned Sela's top projects: Khoyout Factory, Happy Together, House Renovation and Microcredits Project, besides many other seasonal/relief projects and training/workshops. She also mentioned Sela's top media achievement, which is launching an official website for the organization. Finally, she announced the Palestine Charity Committee sponsorship for the Sewing and Fashion Designing Course of 2019. She thanked them for their support and fund and "Ghiras for Society Development" for providing supervision over Khoyout Factory, Zakat House- Kuwait for funding the course, and Interpal for supporting Thread Rolls training. 

Second, Prof. Mohammad Kobrosli, Municipal Representative of Saida, delivered a speech by thanking the Mayor of Saida for supporting and cooperating with organizations and associations. He also thanked Sela for its effort in empowering and supporting women through implementing training and workshops.

In an atmosphere full of happiness and innocence, a group of children did a dress fashion show made by the trainees. After that, they distributed flowers made of left out fabric by the trainees as well.

Mrs. Randa Yassir complemented the trainees' effort and assured them that they would be successful one day. She also thanked Sela and Khoyout Factory for supporting women, especially those who have lost their breadwinner through the pieces of training that Sela provides for them to help them advance. Besides, she thanked Minister Ogaspian for cooperating with women leaders to help them achieve success.

Then, Hanadi Al-Saleh delivered a speech on behalf of the trainees, showing gratitude towards Khoyout Factory for providing theoretical and practical teaching and Sela for standing by their side and providing the tools they needed. 

In the end, a group of pretty flowers (Sela's girls) performed on stage, and the trainees received their graduation certificates. Sela honored the presenters, including Mr. Ali Azzam- the Director of Interpal, Prof. Mohammad Kobrosli- Municipal Representative, Palestine Charity Committee and the Minister of State for Women- Jean Ogasabian, represented by Ms. Randa Yassir with embroidered gifts made by the trainees.
