Winter of Warmth and Care Campaign

In neighboring areas, countless families remain vulnerable to winter’s hardships. They live in crumbling homes, facing hunger and bodies worn down by the biting cold. The chill seeps in from every crack, and the head of the household often has no means to light a fire to warm their children.

In alignment with the first and third Sustainable Development Goals — eradicating poverty in all its forms and promoting good health and well-being — and in response to the dire conditions that disproportionately affect the most marginalized and vulnerable groups in Lebanon, Sela launched the Winter of Warmth and Care Relief Campaign.

This campaign aims to deliver winter aid to vulnerable families, including warm clothing for women and children, winter blankets, and heating fuel. The goal is to shield them from the brutal winter, prevent cold-related illnesses, and relieve the financial and emotional burdens caused by Lebanon’s ongoing crisis.

Goals

  1. Provide winter clothing to 500 vulnerable families, with a focus on women and children.
  2. Distribute winter blankets to 500 underprivileged households across Lebanon.
  3. Supply two 18-liter gallons of diesel to 500 families in need to help warm their homes.
  4. Protect 500 families led by women from the dangers of the winter cold.
  5. Help reduce cold-related illnesses caused by inadequate heating.
  6. Enhance psychological well-being by providing comfort and care during difficult times.
  7. Foster a spirit of social solidarity and shared responsibility within the community.
